About This Site

This site contains the alcohol laws for each state in the United States. Here you will find information like the hours that beer, wine, and spirits, are sold; or if sales and or service is prohibited on Sundays. Also listed are the states that have dry counties1 and other local ordinance restrictions. Some states require that all liquor sales be done through ABC stores2 and package stores3, while other states allow sales at local grocery stores and convenience stores. Check out the legal age to purchase and consume alcohol as well as the legal BAC4. Throughout the country the laws vary for on premises (bars, restaurants, etc.) and off premises (ABC stores, grocery and liquor stores) purchases. For each state the link to their alcohol control department is posted for more in-depth information.
